The short version: your study data lives in your browser on your device. We never see it.

Your study sets, answers, progress, stats, XP, achievements, and settings are stored in your browser's local database (IndexedDB) on your device. AdaptivStudy does not upload this content to a server, and none of it is tied to an account, because there are no accounts. You can export all of it to a backup file at any time, and you can erase it with the delete option in settings or by clearing your browser's site data.
AdaptivStudy is delivered like any website: when you load a page, our hosting provider processes standard technical request data (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) in short-lived server logs used for security and keeping the service running. AdaptivStudy itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Your study content is never part of any request.
AdaptivStudy is free and supported by advertising. When ads are shown, they are served from a separate origin inside a sandboxed frame that cannot read your study data. Where the law requires it, a consent banner will ask before any ad personalization happens, and this policy will name the advertising and consent partners in use.
The Prompt Builder writes a prompt that you copy into an AI assistant you already use, such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, and you paste the result back. Whatever you share with that assistant is between you and its provider under their terms and privacy policy. AdaptivStudy never sends your material to any AI service or any other server.
If you contact us at hello@adaptivstudy.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to respond. Our email is handled by an email delivery provider that processes messages on our behalf.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data an organization holds about you. AdaptivStudy is built so that we hold essentially none: your study data never leaves your device, so viewing, exporting, and deleting it are buttons in the app rather than requests you have to send us. For anything relating to email correspondence or server logs, contact us and we will help.
AdaptivStudy does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Study content created in the app stays on the device it was created on.
If we change how AdaptivStudy handles data, for example when advertising launches, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
